Tatsushi YOSHIDA is an award-winning artist, who, for more than 40 years
has been creating designs for kimono and obi sashes. The creation of these designs is
the first step among more than 20 stages repuired to produse the final beautifully
woven fabric.
the designs are created by applying a color wash (doro-enogu known for
its use
in japanese-style painting) onto silk. More complicated designs use japanese
washi
paper and othet techniques to give depth and intricacy.
